**Note – Any course may also be offered as an individual course, you are not required to sign up for the combination courses. Pricing will reflect this change.

EMT Basic & EMT Advanced Combo

Begins September 24th, 2019 – Evening Course Program.
Tuesday, Thursday 1600-2200 (4:00 pm to 10:00 pm)


Early Fall Evening Session – Start Date: September 24th, 2019.

Basic EMT Portion
10-week program.
Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 1600-2200 (4:00 pm to 10:00 pm.)
Plus a few possible Saturday classes during the day (if needed). There is required clinical/ride-along hours. These hours will be scheduled and arranged in class based on schedules and availability.

There will be about a 2 week break between EMT and the Advanced portion to allow for testing and processing as students need to complete and receive their EMT License/Certification in order to move on to the Advanced EMT Course. After this break and testing period for EMT, the classes to resume with the start of the Advanced EMT Program Portion.

Advanced EMT Portion
4-week program
Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 1600-2200 (4:00 pm to 10:00 pm.) starting January 7th, 2020. (subject to change)
Plus a few Saturday classes during the day (if needed). There is required clinical/ride-along hours. These hours will be scheduled and arranged in class based on schedules and availability. There will be a heavy focus on in the field hours in the Advanced Portion.

NREMT and State Exams for Certification
Testing schedule posted at end of class – Dates to be determined/announced or scheduled. There will be NREMT and State Exams following the Basic EMT portion that has to be completed and passed with successfully granted EMT Certification/Licence. This is required in order to do the Advanced EMT Portion. Once you complete the Advanced EMT portion of the program you will again have to take NREMT and State Exams in order to be granted EMT Advanced Certification/Licence. Both NREMT (National Registry) and BEMS (State of Utah) testing will require written exams as well as skills/practical testing to be passed. You will learn more in class as well as get test prep for these as apart of the program. Note these exams are separate from any in-class exams or finals.

  • Evening Program Classes: 6:00pm-10:00pm (1800-2200) or 4:00pm-10:00pm (1600-2200)
  • Any Saturdays scheduled likely will be scheduled: 8:00am-5:00pm (0800-1700)
    Clinical: Ride-a-long schedule varies and will be scheduled with you in class. We will try to work with your schedule as much as possible; however, there will be a mix of slots and limited spots for each time/day that are based on the availability of department (s) you ride-a-long with.
  • Remediation and Help/Tutoring sessions: Open scheduled time slots to be discussed in class or to be scheduled as needed based off of student/staff availability.

Basic EMT Portion
10-week program.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings from 1800-2200 (6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.)
Plus a few possible Saturday classes during the day (if needed). There is required clinical/ride-along hours. These hours will be scheduled and arranged in class based on schedules and availability.

There will be about a 4 week break between EMT and the Advanced portion to allow for testing and processing as students need to complete and receive their EMT License/Certification in order to move on to the Advanced EMT Course and to allow for holiday break. After this break and testing period for EMT, the classes to resume with the start of the Advanced EMT Program Portion.

4-week program
